Promoting public awareness
Promoting cultural diversity and tolerance through education as well as raising public awareness can help to combat with the current discriminatory attitudes. Allowing more people to know about how Korean Chinese themselves feel under such discrimination can also allow Chinese citizens to show more respect toward minority populations (not only Chosonjok, but also immigrants and people who come from entirely different background ).
eg. Primary school and middle school education
Education
Enhancing legal protections and anti-discrimination laws are also useful ways in addressing the issues. In addition to that, language barrier problems should be addressed through providing more accessible access to language education programs for first generation and second generation immigrants. This will then help with increased education and employment opportunities for individuals, providing all with equitable research opportunities and educational resources.
Government efforts
Collaboration between different businesses, the government, as well as the citizens is also very important for resolving the issue. Since THAAD event that happened, tensions have risen between South Korea and China, many netizens in China have spread discriminating words toward the Korean Chinese community. In response to that, the Chinese government has done holistic efforts to create a better online environment for minority populations. As a result, similar actions should also be taken in the future to resolve similar issues.
